gas, electric, or charcoal grills

I am in the process of buying a new grill for my Class C. Any recommendations

  • I much prefer charcoal, and they make a small kettle grill Smokey Joe from Weber. Great for two people.
  • Features important to us with a grill.

    - must be propane
    - inexpensive (we bought it on clearance for under $30)
    - provide reasonable even-heat cooking
    - porcelain coated finish to stand up to flames
    - no downward heat to avoid damage to our plastic folding table
    - easy to wipe clean the flat surfaces to avoid drips & leakage
    - compact for our RV storage compartment
    - large enough to handle 2 corn cobs, 2 baked potatoes, and 2 large chicken breasts at the same time

We got lucky in that our Coleman "Road Trip" model proved itself to be a good choice. You never know until owning it a while and we have owned it now for 8 years. We spent extra for the zippered black canvas storage case which was worth the expense for where we store it in our RV.
