Most RV's have flat fronts and rears, much aerodynamic drag which builds up drastically as speed increases past 50mph . Bucking headwinds and sidewinds, rolling resistance of tires due to weight of rig, climbing grades. RV's and box trucks are much heavier and not streamlined like cars, most of which don't get terrific mpg either when driven faster than 55 mph.
