Gas Mileage

One of the variables is Vortec vs old-style 454. Also OD vs old-style transmission Between them, that will make 2-3 MPG difference.

What year is it-- that will tell us a lot.

6-8 is a pretty reasonable guess at what your average numbers over time will be. You can get more or less depending upon terrain and wind conditions.

I average 7 MPG with our 96 Fleetwood Southwind, 37', 454 tag axle. Not towing.

And, that's going over the hills in western Pennsylvania. In Ohio and flatter areas it gets a little better. I travel at about 62 MPH.

Is your Fleetwood fuel injected or a carburetor? The older carb models will get lower mileage.

I'm satisfied with the mileage.

Are you pulling anything? If you get over several tanks and mixed driving between 8-9 be very very happy. 7-8 be happy. 5-6 perhaps a bit disappointed, and slow down.

I had a 31 ft with a 454 and averaged low 8's, no tow. High was low 10's on flat roads, real gas.

I don't see why it wouldn't get 7-8mpg.

6-8 MPG on most roads. Down to 4MPG on steeper mountain roads.
