Thanks. Will do the codes. Already flipped the breakers with no change. Wondering if my transfer switch might be the issue.
Was in my case. ONAN gennies monitor their AC out, if they are not putting AC out and within spec, they shut themselves off. - drifterpilotExplorerRight after I bought my coach new, I stopped up the road and started the generator and discovered I didn't have any electricity. I called the dealer and he told me to "rap soundly" on the transfer switch case a couple of times. I did and "electricity started flowing".
 - bshpilotExploreri had a similar travel situation (only i had no warranty) - the cummins/onan dealer worked me in, pulled the generator & discovered a shorted stator....they convinced me to join their "customer" club (saved me 20%) and they even credited me the $700 dollar control board (that i bought, trying to fix it myself, based on the code the gen was throwing). They had me in and out in one day & i was on my way !
 - GoldencrazyExplorerIt is. Planning on leaving for a couple of weeks on Tuesday and hoped to have the gen even though we will be staying with hookups. I wondered if anyone had something like this before. I will try to get dealer help on Monday .
 - bshpilotExplorerBUMMER ! but on the upside its gotta be under warranty !
 - GoldencrazyExplorerI checked the light codes on the outside switch. It runs and then flashes rapidly which is a Run Engine Only code that does not produce power. Answer is to go to Onan service. Apparently this allows power to operate hydraulics. 3.3 hrs on it.
 - You need to isolate your problem.
I would start in the center at the transfer switch. Use a voltmeter at the transfer switch where the genset wiring comes in. See if you have power there. No power then check junction box at genset. Power coming into genset, check to see if it is leaving or where in the transfer switch it stops.
If you do not feel comfortable doing this get some help! - bshpilotExplorer

you'll need a multimeter to find out if its the xfer switch.
if theres no codes on the generator then the transfer switch is the next place to look. - GoldencrazyExplorerThanks. Will do the codes. Already flipped the breakers with no change. Wondering if my transfer switch might be the issue.
 - bshpilotExploreronan generators will flash the light on the start switch (on the generator itself) in a pattern "code" if theres a problem w/ the generator itself.
count the flashes, wait for the pause(s) and watch for the flashes again....iirc the codes are either 2 or 3 digit numbers.
you can retrieve stored codes by pushing the off (side) of the button 3 times.
Heres a video that will help/demonstrate code retrieval - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3gJvJaBtO8
