Generac Series Q-55G Oil Change

Does anyone have any tips for changing the oil on a Generac Series Q-55G generator? The process of draining and filling the oil is EXTREMELY SLOW. It seems like the fill and drain line is excessively small and constantly overflows when trying to add oil. I didn't run the generator prior to draining and that probably slowed down the draining part, but I am hoping someone has ideas for making this process go a little faster. I also tried filling the oil from the oil cap in the cylinder head, but that was no better and oil spilled everywhere.
