Generator power

I own a 04 Damon Intruder. When I'm on shore power everything works. When I switch to generator power, my front and rear tv outlets don't work. I have checked the breakers and GFI and all are good.
Any ideals what might cause this.

Also does the inverter serve any purpose besides converting DC to AC?
Thanks for any help.

  • You most likely have two AC circuits that go through your inverter/converter. One will go to your entertainment center. Find it and you will find two circuit breakers if its like my Magnum. Mine are small round white buttons on the lower front of the unit.
  • Might be the ATS is not working or the contacts are burnt on the shore power position. JMT's
  • I checked the gen breakers and they are on. Does anybody know of a good source for a wiring schematic for motor homes in general. I have tried to find them before, but no luck.
  • I just reread that. If you have power on shore, but not on genset. It sounds to me like the issue is not inverter related even if the TV outlets went through the inverter.

Have you tried reseting the breakers on the genset?

If it's just an inverter, no. If it's an inverter/charger, then yes.
