When I bought my used bus from a private party in March/April of this year I went online and purchased Good Sam Roadside assistance the day before I was suppose to pick it up. I figured since I'd paid that I would get an email immediately with my temporary coverage information or temp ID card....but no, it took the better part of the week for my policy to be processed even though they had my money.
Sadly, I'm thinking they'll probably do anything to avoid having to cover that "first drive home". This is just an inkling based on my own experience. My auto policy's roadside coverage would have been immediate but they don't cover motorhomes for roadside.
