I suspect cleaning the MAF will clear the problem.
There are a couple different O2 sensors so I removed one of mine and took it to NAPA to get the correct sensor...about $65 as I remember.
I had to buy a special socket to remove the Sensor.
I think if I was you I'd run it after they clean the MAF and see if the problem goes away.
Yes, removing the battery terminal cable will clear the Check Engine Light.
