Second that. Nothing like sleeping on a canvas rack on a Tin Can (destroyer).
  • Maybe all this good sleeping has more to do with RVing than the bed. I know I am pretty relaxed when I am a-w-a-y!
  • I'm with dons2346 and his Navy experience. But I experienced it in the Army as a passenger on a Navy LST, and as a crew member on a Army LCU.
  • We don't have any cabinets overhead and have a queen. Blackout curtains - memory foam topper on the mattress and we usually sleep well.
  • No.
We have a queen with the head in the slideout. Small nightstands on either side (as in pull them out and a king would fit). Tiny end windows in the slideout, we always sleep with them open. Cabinets above.

Someday, I will add a long skinny tiltout window behind the bed, and redo the headboard.

There is no place I sleep better than in my motorhome.
  • Bruce, what kind of motorhome to you have?

Our king-size bed is in a slide-out with overhead cabinets. Doesn't seem cramped to me, in fact, I sleep better in the motorhome than our stick and brick. I should say too that we have a regular residential king-size Beauty Rest pillow top mattress in the motorhome.

Have never sleep Better than in the Coach.

Love the slide-out and having a window right by my Head, in the King Sized bed, we did have Blackout Curtains installed and can sleep till the sun is UP, and that does help.

SO to answer your question -- no problem.
