- kokois1ExplorerHave no problem sleeping in our MH! Have king bed and there are cabinets overhead but they are at the ceiling so not too low.
- J-RoosterExplorerI'm just grateful that I'm sleeping indoors and it's warm!

Anyone else have trouble sleeping with their head cramed into a small area slideout with cabinets overhead????
Bruce... Never... Tent camper, VW Camper Bus, Truck Camper, Fifth Wheel, Gas Class A and our current DP. My sleeping comfort starts with bed comfort, temperature, ventilation, Noise, unwanted light. Proximity has never been an issue unless head bumping, which was always on the menu.
I did spend years on submarines so any form of claustrophobia is not on my agenda.
If claustrophobia is a factor for you then you really need to make a change... If not then take a look at your bed comfort, temperature, and ventilation, and light... While proximity of cabinets may be undesirable its something that can be adjusted to ... Tendency towards claustrophobia is not.
JohnnyT - the_bear_IIExplorerCan the cabinets be removed ? Most of our cabinets are screwed into the wall studs which makes them easy to remove.
Luckily our slideout doesn't have cabinets over the bed so we have lots of room. - Old-BiscuitExplorer III

Nope. Got used to tight cramped sleeping spaces during my stint in the Navy so sleeping in a motorhome is considered a luxury.
Second that. Nothing like sleeping on a canvas rack on a Tin Can (destroyer).
Crawl in on your back or crawl in on your stomach......overhead pipes right in your face......next to engineering space. Not to mention the 30 other guys.
RV sleeping is about as good as it gets :B - jyExplorerI always sleep great in my MH.Maybe because when I'm camping I usually have a few "cocktails" in the evening!
- GoldencrazyExplorerWe raised the head of the mattress a few inches and it made a difference in my sleeping. I am an insomniac so 5 hrs is about all I do or need. We have noticed with slides out the coach does settle a bit more on the head side as there are two slides and the front is larger. We relevel every three or four days. I have really found sleeping elevated a little to the top of the bed is an improvement and if we get out of level or are parked in a lot with slides in and no levelers I am still not sleeping with head lower. That position can make you anxious and claustrophobic.
- HondavalkExplorer IIHow bout turning around with your under the cabinets
