- ron_dittmerExplorer IIpogosam,
I too think you could negotiate further. It never hurts.
One thing that dealers seem to be open to, are comments like this.
"I will pay your price before you close tonight. But that must include sales tax, dealer prep, license plates, doc fees, title processing, and anything else you come up with. One check for $59,990 and we are good to go."
If the dealer declines your offer, simply say "Thank You" and hang up or leave the premise. Then at the end of the month, call and offer the same. You have a good chance getting a more favorable answer. - wbwoodExplorernjtony what kind did you buy?
- njtonyExplorerI would go over the unit with a fine tooth comb before buying. WE bought a 2013 class a 32bh in oct, and have hade way to may problems with quality of unit. have had doors come off slides breaking cabinets coming off walls, windows coming apart. passenger seat breaking. And I would really check out the mattress in the unit, Ours is so soft you hit the bottom platform if u sit to hard. The mattress is on the cheap side and does not provide for a good nights sleep. So you will be paying 4-6 hundred dollors for a new mattress right away. Our unit has been in the shop for 3.5 weeks getting repairs done. And I would buy an extended warranty.
- wbwoodExplorerAlso to add.... We also traded in our 3 yr old TT, where they paid off the balance of the loan. I just looked on their website and they have it listed for sale for $200 less than what the balance of the loan is. We also traded in a 2001 pop up that I had just bought in the last couple of months for $2200. I knew I got a good deal on it and they gave me what I paid for it. This is all in addition of to the sale price of the $69k of the new Class C. They do have the pop up listed for $3700. So they stand to make a few bucks there. I knew I got it for a good price....lol But all in all, I feel pretty good with the deal.
- pogosamExplorerThanks for the great info! I'll definitely do some more research to determine how I'll go about negotiating.
Yours is a great rig and we wish you continued happy trails!
We actually looked at one similar in size and interior and also interior size to what you describe yours as. I had to pass on thinking about it since the only color they had left in the cab portion was black (We didn't want to go through the hassle of trying to get another color shipped out from Indiana - if they had any still left there that is - and it was about $8k over our budgeted price range anyway) which was cool looking and all - but I learned a while ago after purchasing a black car how much more maintenance was involved to keep the outside nice looking LOL
Thanks again! - wbwoodExplorerI would ask for as much as you can. All they can say is no and if you are ok with it, then that's good. The reason I say you should be able to get lower is because they are listing their "sale price" as just a little more (about $800) than the quoted price you mentioned. They have a link to click on to get your best price. If the best price is the price they quoted you, then I think there is still wiggle room. FYI on the Class C I just got (in my signature). The MSRP was something like $93k, they had it on sale for I think $87k. I got it for $69k. Granted, mine does not have an outside tv or stereo, but it does have the place for an outside tv. But mine does have a 32" inside the living room and a 19" in the bedroom. I also have a full bedroom with slide and a full wall wardrobe. I have 9' of additional length and space to mine. Everything that is listed, including the options Dennis added for you (except outside tv), I have. I also have full body paint.
Here's a similar one to yours at our local camping world. It's 2' longer than yours, but is basically the same thing (minus the outdoor entertainment center). And it has the fully body paint scheme. MSRP $82k. They are asking $64k. I would imagine that you should be able to get it probably in the mid $50k range. - pogosamExplorerThanks for the info. This will be my first time purchasing an RV of any type so I apologize for the newbie questions - I am curious as to why you may think I can get this 2013 model for approx $5,000 less than the lowest quoted price, with the number of items that on other web sites, as well as the web site of the company I'm considering purchasing the RV from, that are termed as options - when the RV I'm interested in purchasing already have them built in so to speak?
Do you feel I should ask them to throw in a Fantastic Fan and/or possibly a year's registration as well?
Thanks! - pogosamExplorer24 inch LCD TV and stereo system are included in the outdoor entertainment center
- wbwoodExplorerAll sounds standard to me. Except the outdoor entertainment center. Are they actually supplying the tv or that there is room and hookups for one?
- pogosamExplorerThat amounted was quoted to us. What does everyone think of the options and extras listed on the left side of the website?
Thanks for your response
