We tend to travel from point A to point B with road maps and little else, but would we benefit from a Good Sam membership? We are just gitting back in to RVing after a few years. We have RVd since 1978 and remember when Art Rouse named his van Sam.

Our experience in the past was that AAA did not cover RVs in their emergency road service; GS does. Also, AAA CG listings are sparse, and GS discounts on camping fees seem to be more available than AAA ones.

Hapymils here again. We have used the Trip Tec and maps from AAA. Does GS have that service?

They have a trip routing service but not Trip Tics. I carry an atlas and use GPS.

It will be the first time you need it! It is more than towing. It also includes tire changing/repair and a number of other things. Lost a fan belt and they brought me out a new one as an example. Came out and put on my spare in a lacation that I would not have flelt safe jacking up the coach.

One use in 10 years will pay for the cost.

Here is my experience with AAA.
I had a Winnebago Chieftain and went with AAA when they started offering RV PLUS. I had a claim for towing that cost them about $700.00 and no other claims for the year. The next year they REFUSED to give me RV PLus they would give me regular AAA but not plus. SO I DROPPED THEM.

we have AAA , Good Sam , and progressive and have been considering Coach Net

Never short change 'towing options'
we were towed twice last year and once 'so far' this year
these would have cost over $2200 total if we had paid for it 'out of the pocket'

I have heard from a couple of people that AAA routing does not always accommodate the big rigs. Maybe its time to think about a MH GPS for your routing, and a truckers map. Coach-net for road side service!

If you are asking about map and trip service, which I think you are, I would stick with AAA. With AAA you can go get hard copy maps at any AAA location. Good Sam doesn't offer that, I don't think.

If you are asking about Towing Road Service I would go with Good Sam.
