As the other poster mentioned, Kick Down jacks are NEVER to be installed that swing forward. BUT, some model HWH kick down jacks CAN be mounted correctly and if the pivot stop bearing is missing or the stop is bad can swing forward. IS there room for the jack to swing rearward and clear any items on the chassis? IF the jack is mounted correctly and does swing forward, that is why the down switch will not close. Usually, you can use your hand to pull the jack DOWN vertical even when retracted. See if you can pull it down and then rearward. Look at how the other rear jack mount plate is and compare. Doug
