I would be guessing it is a cable operated hot water valve. I have found them for cars at any auto parts store. I asked for a heater valve for a 67 Chevelle, and they where able to locate one. It took a couple of minutes tops!
As for finding your valve, you can crawl under the RV and start looking for the hot water lines.
Also if you have a water coolant filter, try changing that too. It might be the coolant filter is inline with your hot water heater hose, so that if it plugs, you will not get hot water to the front. Just a thought.
