Hello to all.

Hello everyone. I was given a 1993 alegro bay class c motorhome ! my first camper of any type. It has some problems but its not to bad for its age. Tail lights and marker lights dont work, a leak or two but im working on that.
Its a ford e350 and i cant find any info on what fuse does what but im sure over time i will run across some info.
I dont plan on going far or often. Mostly park in a rv park and live in it for a bit.
Im glad to be a member here and may have a question or two. Does anyone here have or have had this rv ?
Thanks and may God bless you and keep you safe.

  • Ditto on Bordercollie's tips. I'm a firm believer on cooling system attention. A 1993 almost certainly could use a new radiator. If you are handy, it's not too hard a job and van-type radiators are not too expensive. While it's off, a new waterpump is easy to install.
  • There are a lot of helpful videos on You Tube covering trouble shooting, repairs and maintenance issues that you will likely encounter. Learn as much as you can about the 12 volt DC system including the converter/charger, house batteries, house/auxiliary battery on/off switch and solenoid,12 volt dc fuse panels, how the engine alternator charges the house batteries while driving and how the converter charger charges the house batteries while you are plugged into shore power or while the RV generator is running. RV appliances, furnace blower, and fresh water pump, all depend on 12 volt DC from the house/auxiliary batteries. Good tires, less than 5 years old by date codes are essential for safety, a tire that comes apart can damage the holding tanks, propane lines and wiring with flailing steel belt and may cause loss of control. The engine cooling system must be in good repair including radiator, clutch fan, water pump and all belts and hoses. Brake fluid should be changed every 2 years to prevent brake fade on long grades. Make sure entire brake system is good order including front flex lines, calipers, etc.
Fridge, roof AC and dash AC, fresh water pump, water heater, awning and plumbing system are important from a comfort and enjoyment standpoint. Good Luck with your new hobby. Safety first!!
  • Thanks. I got some spray stuff from HD for a small leak over the shower. A stop gap thing for now. Looking to get some eternabond soon. That stuff cost a lot but worth it i here. Used some henry's 212 for a spot on the front window. It was all HD had. Thanks again.
  • Welcome to the forum. You'll want to fix the leaks before you get too concerned about the other things.

Eternabond and Dicor Self Leveling Caulk are excellent products for roof leaks.

A small leak can cause a lot of damage if not repaired quickly.

    Enjoy your travels and camping.
