HELP PLS power steering cooler - part two

In my last post my power steering cooler was leaking on my 1996 Monaco Dynasty.
The response I got on this site was great. The cooler was removed and sent to a rad guy and they said that the leaks could not be fixed although I am not sure how they knew this when they did not look at the bottom as they did not take the bracket off the bottom. So we found a place in Ontario that will recore the cooler for $1400.00 and we found a company in Alabama that has a brand new cooler specifically for a Monaco which costs 1500.00 US. On top of that another cost to remive the old bracket and put it all back together. I purchased this motorhome for a couple trips a year until i retire in 4 years. Glad I did it this way for I have spent alot getting the MH in shape. So I have no more trips planned this year and the exchange rate between Canadian dollar and US dollar is so high do I fix the cooler now or do I put it in storage outside at the mecanic's place until the spring when the dollar will improve and fix it in the spring as i would take it out for trips or do I pay to have it recored or buy brand new or put it in storage? Please give me all your words of wisdom. Thank you.

Thank you for your response. What problems would I run into disassembled? What if I put the old cooler back on until spring?

Replacing the old cooler is a good option. At least none of the parts can get lost or misplaced. But your coach will still be out of service.
If stored at the mechanic's shop, will you have access to check everything and exercise the generator?
The exchange rate may be better in the spring but, the price of the cooler may go up.

My concern would be sitting unused and looking abandoned or junked, inviting vandalism ,rodents, critters, etc..
If you have safe, clean storage, you'll be okay. But I would check it when possible.

Enjoy your travels when you have it back in service.

I would not store the coach disassembled. To me that is asking for more problems.
If it were mine I would bite the bullet and have it repaired and useable.
Recored or new cooler? I would look at everything, warranty, convenience, etc..
I would definitely not store in a non-working condition. JMO
