You need to get ALL the carpet out of the coach, bedroom, driver's area and all. I am by no means a flooring expert, but mine turned out really, really nice. A lot nicer of a job than I thought I could do myself. The worst part was tearing out all the old carpet and staples. Re-covering that doghouse over the engine took some skill and patience, along with measuring four times and cutting once. It looks completely factory. I have a carpet cleaner with a wand on it, so when I had the couch out I cleaned it thoroughly. I also stripped the dinette cushions of their covers and put them into the washing machine, then let them air dry and put them back on. Wow, what a difference.
