Here We Go Again, Gas Will Be Above $4 a Gallon By Summer

I thought that we were paying a lot at 4.25 a gallon for regular in the SF East Bay area until I looked at the link. I guess that I will be staying closer to home for a while. By summer it will probably be over 5.00 a gallon. JMO

Yeah we are taking our first real trip in June. I used the free flying j "plan your trip" site. Going from western NE to Vancouver, Washington it starts out at $3.39 in east Wyoming and goes to 3.79 in Oregon'.. it helps if you have a pilot card and a good Sam's elite card, about 7¢ gal.

4.39 at the Chevron on my corner in San Diego. $4.15 at the independent down the street. Why do people keep patronizing Chevron???

We currently pay NZ$8.36/gal and at an exchange rate of NZ$1= US$0.85 if you hit US$4 that is only about NZ$4.70/gal - Good margin in it for you.

It's been above $4/gal for weeks in Calif. It's also about time for the summer mix to hit too

Well I should have clarified my 1st post saying its going be above $4 a gal average in the U.S at the rate its going, I guess that means it will be about $5 a gal in California.

Diesel prices here have been above $4.00 for a few weeks. So, if the price jumps another 50 cents before we leave on our scheduled 1400 mile trip next month we will have to pay an additional $100.00 in fuel costs. Not hardly enough to make us stay home or to shorten our trip. Just one of the costs of the rv lifestyle.

Its not just the 0.50 cents more that's going to hurt many peoples wallet its the over all increase we have seen over the past 2 months plus the new added increases we are going to see in the next 2 months, plus add more food cost and such..

I suspect RV sales are going to be down during this summer.

Well here in Ontario it is $5.40 Canadian for a gallon. It is expected to easily hit $5.70 before summer hits.

We think the US prices for gas is great. We always fill up before we come back
