Sorry, I thought you had a Diesel. As to the 4 volts AC. That is NOT possible. There is nothing in the system or refer system that will take 120 volts AC current and drop it down. Even a loose connection in the AC circuit will not cause that voltage drop(DC current yes, not AC current). You must have had the Voltmeter set on the wrong setting. You do not state refer brand or model. Monaco, on refers with an Icemaker had 2- 120 receptacles behind the refer. One receptacle was for the refer and the other was thru the optional Inverter to power the Icemaker. Do you have this type system? Also, depending on the model, IF you do not have 12 volts to the refer and it HAS rear cooling fans, the refer will not cool correctly as those fans(12 volt) are needed. They run thru the refer 12 volt system. Monaco produsts usually had Norcold refers. Doug
