At least you're not too far out of town to converse with San Diego and Philly. My better half lived in Fairbanks when she was a kid. She took me there about 15 years ago. Great trip--two weeks in Alaska. I loved it. But, two weeks is not enough!
Been up here for almost 35 years. When I was in the service, stationed in Anchorage, I'd offer the wife a vacation anywhere in the Pacific ... she always chose Homer, Valdez, or Seward.
I was already living in Fairbanks when you were up here.
Neighbors shoot at drones out here ... and they're fairly accurate.
One of my someday projects is an old-skool rigid chopper, using an old CB550 4-cylinder Honda engine I have. (P.S. I'm a former MSF motorcycle safety instructor, former board member of Alaska Bikers Advocating Training and Education, and was unit motorcycle safety coordinator for several AF wings and divisions while in the service.)
