I had a motocycle when I was in college mostly because the cost was really low.

When my father was in college, he and his brother got a pair if 1939 Indian Scouts, and rode them from University of Michigan to Guatamala. That was quite a feat back then because there were few roads and many were dirt. Those bikes were rigid too. Ouch! What an adventure.
