It really is the prep work that makes the difference.
I'm no auto body guy believe me but I do have time on my side, I even whittled several layers of paint off all wheel and axle cap bolts.
Its called MH OCD.
I have an electrolytic rust removal tank that also removes most types of paint. The tank I have right now uses a 5-gallon bucket but I'm working on one using a 55-gallon drum.
The thing I like best is it's nontoxic and environmentally safe. Second best is far less effort to have an item primer-ready.
