Latest problem... The old girl has gotten rather difficult to start. Runs fine... just doesn't like starting up.
A depression of the gas pedal puts a squirt into the carb. A second depression gives a second squirt. However, the bowl itself seems to go dry. and... over the course of several hours maybe? Cranks and cranks until it gets fuel back up to the carb. A little shot of starter fluid Saturday, and she fired right up. The carb looks like it might be 'weeping' fuel through the gaskets a little. Thought I would check for the expert opinions here. I am ordering a rebuild kit for the carb. I have read many feel the problem is Ethanol in the fuel... others feel that's ridiculous... Saw mention of a small leak in the fuel line... but I don't see how that would cause the bowl to go dry... Still has the 9211 TQ Carb on it. Next opportunity we'll rebuild the carb, and test the fuel pump output. But other ideas are appreciated.
