Warped plastic carburetor bowls are an indication of excessive heat under the doghouse. I've mentioned before, small marine bilge blowers can reduce the problem. Mount one or two away from the engine and use dryer vent hose to blow cooler fresh air up into the doghouse. This will also help engine efficiency by offering denser cool air for the carburetor. (You can also use one or two bilge blowers to suck hot air out of the doghouse ... but blowing cool air in there is more effective.)
IIRC, someone offered metal replacement bowls for some carburetors, decades ago. Might be worth looking for ... they were made for hot-rodders, IIRC.
Will use my resources to look for drag link. 1979 Dodge F40 chassis ... may need more info. Chassis VIN would be most helpful. Will also crosscheck 1977 & 1978, in case of split year motorhome.
