A week ago, while discussing motorhome exhaust systems and headers, I stated, "(I know this is going to start an argument ... save your breath. I prefer multiple tests, using controlled scientific methods, over anecdotal reports based on limited experience.)"
This was not intended to discourage contrary opinions and experiences. People are entitled to opposing views. Specifically, people should not rely on my opinions alone. They should seek other opinions, weigh the alternatives, and make up their own minds.
Instead, I meant to say you're unlikely to change my mind without citing multiple opposing sources, based on scientific tests, which I can review to see if my opinion needs changing.
P.S. Yes, the original contained a typo, which I corrected here. (I inadvertently substituted an analogous verb for an appropriate noun.)
