Agreed, no flex fan! I learned that the hard way a long time ago.
One more about people running into things. The funniest one I remember was a lady at a four way stop. Seems she didn't like the second vehicle going out of turn, even if it was being towed via a long cable by vehicle number one. The lady gunned it to cut the second (towed) vehicle off, hit the tow cable, and suddenly looked like she was shot from a giant slingshot in the opposite direction. Kind of reminded me of a giant slinky explosion. :E
Luckily nobody was hurt, just her pride, and of course bits of her grill. I'm sure it wasn't real good for the towed and tow car either.
