We live in northern California and are thinking about buying a used (read cheap) Class A motorhome to use occasionally to go to the coast. Just so that we are looking at all the costs in owning a motorhome I was wondering about how much insurance is for a Class A? Ball park costs. Do you pay all year even if you only use it occasionally? We had a 5th wheel before and only paid for May-november.

Depends on where you live".A motorized vehicle you might not be able to completely drop coverage during winter months, up to the state. For budget purposes and advance planning with a lot of unknowns used $750 as a high number. If you come in under, bonus. Best to call who you currently have vehicle or home owners coverage with for a better number.My costs, $55 a month, for full coverage year round.
