- TxsurferExplorerOk so 60 is not an unreasonable ask for unit priced around 75. Guess all they can say is no
- fitznjExplorerOffer CW whatever makes you feel comfortable.....
A good deal is when BOTH parties walk away with a smile on their face. - BlackdiamondExplorerDO your research first...I looked at a unit from a dealer they were asking $49,000. I said the absolute most it was worth was $25,000 any they came back with, we can do that. I didn't buy it. I prefer private sellers you get a good sense about them and how they treated things when you spend an hour or two with them asking questions an looking over the unit and they will have the paperwork to back things up, at dealer (unless all work was done there) you get nothing.
Basically if your not uncomfortable with how low your first offer is, you didn't start low enough. - bobkatmsuExplorerI wasn't sure from your thread if you had a trade or not. If not don't miss the opportunity of looking into private sellers. Many more options out there, especially if you are willing to travel a little bit. There is always someone out there that HAS to sell their motor home. Lost job, divorce, health any number of reasons and while I am not specifically trying to take advantage of someone, I'm trying to get my best deal and they are trying to get out from theirs. Chances of getting a dealer to give you that type of price is remote.

X2- midnightsadieExplorer IIwhat ever you offer ,and they turn down don,t raise your offer ,leave a ph# where you can reached, lay back and wait, they,ll call and counter offer, most times ,then You can re counter there offer. . remember and this is most important any figure you agree to IS OUT THE DOOR ,tax title etc all in one figure.

""where is a good starting point.""" (price wise on example ask of 75K) - LwiddisExplorer IIBring a cashier’s check for 62.5. Put it on the table after inspection and test drive. Drive away in the MH or walk to your car and go home.
- rgatijnet1Explorer IIIThe VALUE of any vehicle is what YOU are willing to pay and what the SELLER is willing to take. If the floor plan and condition are something you really like, then it is up to you to decide what your top dollar offer will be. If it happens to be a one of a kind type coach, then you have to decide if you would increase the offer to keep it from going to another buyer.
Buying any vehicle is like going to an auction. You make an offer and the seller accepts it or not. He may want to wait for the next offer from another buyer, or he may decide to take your offer. The ideal situation is where both the buyer and seller are satisfied with the selling price.
Anyone that tries to give the value of an RV, without looking at it in person, is just guessing, including NADA. There are gems out there as well as money pits and only a thorough inspection will tell you what a coach is worth. - jim1521Explorer+1 on what Wolfe10 said. And then determine what is the maximum that YOU are willing to pay for it. Don't get emotional, and especially don't get caught up in the moment and let that price get beyond what you're willing to pay.
There are PLENTY of used Class A MH on the market. Someone out there wants to do business with you. It all comes down to what you see as the value.
