How Tall is your Rig?

Holstein13, the lady at the kiosk said that they are building a whole new structure. She may not have really known. Digging out would make total sense.

They made us drive center as the wooden lane numbers hang down at the front facia. One was half broken by a tall coach coming through (they said).

We may have fit going through but they insisted that I lower. I have to say that I was little nervous. If we were at regular height and going over that speed bump under the canopy, we might have hit. We did drive through the right side of the kiosk (may have been lower than the left?).

Which side did you drive through?

We had to lower the coach going into Disney's Wilderness Campground near Disney World. The entrance kiosk was built in the early 1970's. They are in the process of designing a new entrance kiosk for the new taller rigs.

While our rig was lowered, we inched slowly under the kiosk roof. Just as you are about to exit the canopy, there is a speed bump which raises the coach at least 3 inches (Crazy I tell you, crazy!). :M

I'm 13' 4" per specs as well, but I suspect our floodlight is projecting 4 inches higher than that. I'll definitely need to measure manually some day.

BTW, I made it through the Disney kiosk with no problems even with the floodlight and we didn't lower the coach either.

You know how Disney is going to fix the problem? They are digging the lanes down to give more clearance.

Still.. I can tell you this.. The LOWEST bridge i ever went under was 12'6" and it was...... A very cautious passage.. No damage.

We are 12'10! OMG that is so low! We went under a 13'3" bridge and I knew we were under but DANG it looked so close!!!

Still.. I can tell you this.. The LOWEST bridge i ever went under was 12'6" and it was...... A very cautious passage.. No damage.

12' 6" to top of AC units aired up. I use 13' as min. & guess I could dump air bags if needed and go slow. I did clear a tree branch at 12' 10' that my kid measured at his place last year. :B

13'5". Can't get into some Corps campgrounds due to low trees on county roads accessing the park. "Not our job" to keep tees trimmed up.
