I also just blow my lines out with air. I don't have that yukky pink stuff in my water lines and I also can just add water and go. Just remember to remove any water filters. You need to blow out toilet flush line and also outside shower if you have one. Add pink stuff to your drain p traps. If you have a W/D dump pink stuff in your washer and spin out to fill that p trap.
Most RV manufacturers include directions for both methods of winterizing in their manuals. Either way works if done correctly.
BTW people in cold climates have been blowing out their underground sprinkler lines with air for years with no problems. Never hear about them using pink stuff. :B
