how to clean carpeted ceiling?

I have a '96 Pace Arrow Vision that has the carpeted ceiling (not sure what its made of) and had a leak that ran along the side and stained the ceiling. I tried using Turtle Wax Foaming Auto carpet shampoo but it just made it worse when it was being scrubbed and spread it out further. What else will clean the dirty stain? Since it is up it is very hard to use anything like Oxyclean.
Thanks!
Jim E.
  • We had our ceiling cleaned by Servicemaster as part of a cleaning of all the interior. Results were fantastic. The water stain we had disappered.

Took our rig to thier location in the morning, picked it up on the way home from work, completely detailed - looking and smelling brand new.

I frequently see RV's & boats in thier parking lot so at least the local guys are experianced with this type of toy.

Give one of the professional carpet cleaning firms in your area a call and see if they can help.
  • I used Norwex carpet cleaner in a spray bottle, a small scrub brush and left it sit for a few minutes. I used one of the enviro-cloths and dried it as much as possible. Once it was dry I had to do the outside area once more and now you can't tell there was a stain. This stain was there from the previous owner so it sat for a few years until I cleaned it. I love this stuff as it is not filled with all the chemicals. Ours is quite a white ceiling and is a 2000 Coachman. Good luck
  • We used OxyClean on our '96 Pace. We also put Eternabond on all of the roof seams along the walls and end caps to prevenmt any leaks. That worked great because those are prone to leaking at those points. I don't know details of how DW got it clean up there because I don't do that job good enough so she does that herself.
  • We used one of these things, it comes with a hand wand. Took many times cleaning and at a weird angle of cleaning but finally got stains off. Used their rug shampoo in hand wand.

Also comes in handy cleaning other stuff around house, chairs, sofa and headrests in cars, etc. Ours is an older design but works good. Used to be called "green machine"
