Hi Ho: As you have heard, getting the decal off is only the first part of the problem. Getting the gel coat where the decal was not to show is not that easy. If you absolutely must take it off, laquer thinner followed by buffing with a machine and buffing compound is about as good as it gets, but you might still see where the decal was.
