Hurricane Matthew

I'm in Northeast Florida and it looks like we are going to get a good slap from Matthew. My RV is under a shelter with house walls on each side for preotection but I was thinking I will put the jacks down for added stability. I'm thinking drop the jacks enough to barely lift the tires. Any suggestions?
  • I haven't been in real heavy hurricane force winds but one friend was and he received some damage to his jacks from the rocking during the high winds. Since then, when we have been in high wind situations out West, we retract the jacks and just let the coach rock on it's springs.
If you are protected on the sides from the wind, you shouldn't have to stabilize the coach at all.
