No carburetor to flood no intake to submerge,.. khm....
Since we spoke about Tesla, here is video what it is good for in Kazakhstan.
"To jest droga" = "This is a road" is program run by young Russian speaking Polish showing road scenes from around the World.
I think even without understanding the language -lot will find it interesting as seem lot of road "signs" are international.
If not scroll directly to Tesla scene. - Going to need a lot of them. Looked like seating for maybe 30 max.
If they keep the bus route well marked with paint it should be no issue. - 4x4vanExplorer III

really? which SDV does not require the occupant in the left front seat to pay attention and be ready to intervene?
Google has self-driving cars on the road in several cities right now, and they do not even HAVE a steering wheel or any other controls. They have logged over 700,000 miles. - vic46Explorer

I observed my sons on the Playstation car racing, where you can hit concrete wall at 140 mph, then program hangs you for 2 seconds and you can continue on your way.
In Tesla accident the program took tall trailer as overhead road sign. How stupid is that?
yup. look, I won't say that self-driving vehicles will never come to fruition...that would plainly be wrong. but I will say for the forseeable future there is no substitution for a thinking and alert human being behind the wheel and controlling the vehicle. the operative words in that sentence are thinking and alert.
I think you could add alert to the list. The distracted driver issue is a very real issue. - Kayteg1Explorer IIWhen Tesla accident was stupid program IMHO, the statistics are against human drivers. Read the bottom of the report
"Tesla says Autopilot has been used for more than 130 million miles, noting that, on average, a fatality occurs every 94 million miles in the US and every 60 million miles worldwide"
The odds are against humans - rk911Explorer

- 10forty2ExplorerUntil limited access/dedicated freeways are constructed for them just like railways, autonomous vehicles will not be safe enough for public use. And even with railways, those super-smart routing computers make mistakes and put two trains on the same rail in opposite directions. Granted, it's rare, but it does happen. Plus, where's the fun in it? I like to be in control of my machines. Heck, I don't even really like the auto-braking features and the anti-spin features on the newer vehicles...but that's just me....
