It might be. However, that is not the paint Thor Motor Coach Uses. Sikkens is the paint they use. IMHO Sikkens is a much better paint. - Bird_FreakExplorer IIMartin Senior is a very good product and they have been around for many many years.
- 93mastercraftExplorer IIWe took delivery of our wonderful Thor Palazzo on Nov 9th. It's been in the repair shop now of over 30 days. Woohoo!

I went to the paint shop today. The unit has not been painted yet. While I was discussing all the details of the paint procedure I asked what kind of paint do they use. They immediately tell me Martin Senior. Now, I am no paint expert by any stretch of the imagination. But I can tell you one thing. I have never heard of that paint. So I told them I would not accept anything other than what the manufacturer used being Sikkens. They said no problem and are supposed to be getting the Sikkins professional in on Monday to provide and mix the paint. As a side note this paint and body shop was nice. They are setup to paint large trucks and motorhomes. Not that it gives me anymore comfort, but the Paint and body shop manager was nice and knowledgeable and has been in the business far longer than most peoples entire careers.
Now, on to the other problem we discovered. The list just keep growing. Now we figured out why the rear bedroom slide out will not close properly. IT IS HITTING the base of the bed. Okay, so at this point I am about to throw my hands up and scream at the world.
Palazzo is supposed to have Sikkens paint.
He already said it has Sikkens paint. :S - RCtimeExplorerI believe Sikkens is a top shelf paint, however they all boil down to the same basic chemical formula, what makes the difference between the paint brands is the prep work and application.
Then you will notice a good or poor paint job. - EffyExplorer II

Palazzo is supposed to have Sikkens paint. - 2bzy2cExplorer IINow it's over 9,300 views. That can't be good for Thor.
At least it seems the repairs are moving in the right direction and everyone
seems to be doing what they can. - 93mastercraftExplorer II

Maybe if the 7000 people that read this, all chipped in $20 each, then we could make the OP whole again, then burn the subject RV.
On edit- Correction - 8,900 people.
You really have to put the numbers in perspective. Every time one of us clicks on this thread the number moves up. I would assume that anybody who has posted will click on it at least once or twice a day (at least I do).
So, the number represents the number of clicks, not a new reader. But, what's more important is that each person will probably tell 10 of their friends about this thread and the problems with Thor. That will be way more than the 8,900 'views'.
Example, if we have 2,000 'new' people and they tell 10 friends each, that's 20,000 people who hear about this thread.
MM.
Yes, the treads increase views each time you refresh the page. But none-the-less, I will fudge 400 or 500 times in there for misc. refreshes and the same users going back to view it. But still, one can conclude someone is watching this tread. That's fine with me. I have not said anything here that I would not say to someone's face. I am just trying to provide the facts. I hope one day I can say that we are happy. Right now that is not the case. I will be the first one to say I am if Thor and Camping World can make this right. So far the conversations I've had with all parties involved have been up front and cordial. - 93mastercraftExplorer III went to the paint shop today. The unit has not been painted yet.
