I doubt it. I have owned three mohos with slides with traditional mechanisms and none of them had problems. I think the slide mechanism in that Palazzo is too flimsy and light weight. - 93mastercraftExplorer II

In the long run, it would be a lot cheaper for them too...
Merry Christmas to All.
I was not going to chime in anymore but I felt in necessary. Bullydogs, yes you are absolutely correct. And just to clarify a few things. I was in the GM's office the day he called Thor on my behalf. At that point we were all ready to "throw in the towel" As I listened to the GM talk to Thor, here is about how that conversation went down... We have a customer who has had a Palazzo with too many problems and he has had enough. We were going to try to find him another one in our inventory at another CW location. However, the other GM's might not want to let there inventory go. However, given this is a unique situation I think we can pull some strings to make it happen. (This is the GM talking to Thor now) Thor rep's response to the GM.... Well GM, we have some brand new units that just came out of the paint shop with all the new slide modifications and corrections made. We understand the situation and we want to help you out. We have PO's for these units from CW already. We also have the color he is looking for. We can send him a "factory fresh" unit. CW and me.. that sounds like a plan......Skip almost two weeks later. I get a phone call from camping world and the SM, warranty manager and service manger all on the other end and I am on speaker phone... Mr. (me) We have just received that new unit in for your inspection. Me, I will see what I can do, I might be there tomorrow. This was Christmas eve morning. I went over there and the Service manager was already outside and greeted me. Lets go take a look at that unit. We walked across the yard of MH's and there sat one of the ugliest Palazzo's I had ever seen. It had Camping World Stickers all over the windshield and a label that said CW of Little Rock Arkansas on it. It was missing a porch light lens and a hot water heater cover. I turned around and left.
Meanwhile my Palazzo is still in paint and body shop. Now I come to find that it all has to all be repainted because there was "trash in the paint" - Executive45Explorer IIII guess I'm in the minority here, but I think CW has made the correct gesture to the OP. That he's not happy with their offer is irrelevant. From what I've read, the OP has major, some might consider them minor, issues. It's debatable whether those problems are CW or Thor's, maybe both. Doubtful if any attorney would get involved unless the OP fronts ALL the money necessary. No attorney will take it on contingency...at least none worth hiring.
In situations like this, one must look at the situation AND the offered solution and decide which will provide the optimal solution for the OP. That said, the OP must decide which is the best course of action...can he force Thor to take back his coach and give him another exact replacement.:h...not likely...in fact, not probably. Can he force CW, the seller, to do that..?:h..hardly. Could he sue either or both in an attempt to force them to provide an exact replacement..?:h..sure..would he be successful..:h..anyone's guess...my guess is an emphatic no.
I think the offer from CW is fair considering the situation. He might get CW to repaint it his colors but from reading the posts, I don't think the OP would be satisfied with that. I've been in similar situations in the past...negotiate your best deal and move on....Dennis - bycrackeyExplorer

BUT!!! what if this unit is built correctly.Thats all iam saying
maybe this unit was done correctly. At least take a look at it and see
I think CW are completely within their rights to offer this unit
assuming it preforms flawlessly unlike the first one
but that's just me.I personally at this point would be glad to see any reasonable solution but its really up to the Op.If hes demanding a new one from the factory and could care less if this unit being offered is good to go then its up to Thor to decide what to do.
Its not my deal, good luck as sound,s like its been a battle - bullydogs1ExplorerThe key word is Factory Fresh...he wanted a Palazzo fresh off the line with up to date corrections...he ended up with just another unit from another camping world...although I am sure there is some kind of sticker stating the date of manufacture of the unit...If that date is current (within 30 days in my definition)..that is the best one could hope for...if it is older than his current Palazzo, then it is a moot point. slides are pretty nice to have when your living in the coach and stay put for weeks/months on end but if your constantly travelling and setting up camp 2 -3 times a week then one or none is better to manage - bycrackeyExplorer

Add me to the list of not buying a Thor product directly attributed to this thread
Camping world just pulled a cheap trick on us. We were supposed to see a factory fresh Palazzo from Thor today. It turned out to be just another unit from another Camping World dealer. It was not even the same color. We are finished.
ok but if its a brand new coach of same year etc could u not live with a different colour if the new one offered worked correctly?
I think your now being a little inconsiderate also assuming its apples to apples or better other than colour - BigRabbitManExplorer

You are being jacked around with what seems to be band aide fixes. Beyond that, your will never enjoy your RV. For what it is worth, your attorney fees may be recoverable.
I know the first thing that will happen is your attorney will sequester you from posting any more on these forums. That no doubt will be part of the eventual settlement. I would like to see you come to a satisfactory conclusion. As I see it, you have done all you can from your end. It's time to bring in the big guns.
Best of luck. - Mike_HohnsteinExplorerThreads like this might result in premium prices for non slide units.
