Idle rough

Got a new problem that has crept up on our MH. Got out this past weekend with no problem at first. As I got to our campground and was trying to find a site, I noticed the engine seemed have a lope in it as it idled and was lurching the MH. If I gave it a little gas driving through the campground it ran fine. When I got it backed into a site and got out, it was definitely loping as it sat there idling. Is this anything to worry about?

  • With engine running spray wd40 on all rubber vacuum hoses if you hear a change in rpm you have found a damaged hose.
  • WOW you bought a 1999 MH and have never checked out the engine?
What about all the belts, hoses etc that are 15 years old. Probably a fuel filter in the area as well.
  • I've never had the doghouse off. Hopefully that's not too much trouble. Things are tight up there.
  • Easiest thing to do is first look for vacuum leaks. As hoses age they can crack or come loose.
