A belly pan will do the most to reduce drag compared to tabs and hubcaps. One rule of thumb is that 50 % of aerodynamic drag comes from the underneath of the vehicle.
Another rule of thumb is that aerodynamic drag increases with the square of the speed, so your best and easiest way to improve mileage is to slow down.
Wow strange I was thinking belly pans, even a air scoop/damper in front to help with the wind going under motorhome, maybe that's where I need to do work, my 10 mpg is ridiculous but it sounds good, I average now 7 mpg no wind no hills pulling my Jeep behind.
I like my current motorhome 2008 Bounder 32W but would have been nice that Fleetwood would have made it a little more aerodynamic than it is, cant see why they are not doing this today with most motorhomes, always so boxy looking. - mike_brezExplorerI really don't see why 10mpg is so unrealistic or your fibbing.
- JumboJetExplorerTry the inline magnetic fuel gadget. It claims to align the molecules in the fuel stream before combustion thereby giving you more combustible energy.
I would imagine this gadget would give you almost identical results to air tabs, etc. - FIRE_UPExplorer

Hey, I was gonna say that.
Scott - lj2654ExplorerI get 7.5 mpg period...towing car, not towing car, wind, no wind, 55 or 65 hills, no hills!

You may be getting 10 mpg but with it upside down, as in your pictures, it doesn't look too comfortable. :B - mike_brezExplorerI'm getting almost 10mpg with mine.
- FIRE_UPExplorerThis subject, i.e. "gas mileage", when it comes to motor homes always cracks me up. This is one of those things that, if you wanted gas mileage, why did you buy a rolling gymnasium? Go get a Volkswagen TDI diesel, drive at 60 and get 49 mpg and then, hotel it. Otherwise, don't worry about it and have fun.
Scott - discovery4usExplorerReplace those high HP huge torque DP with and old underpowered DP like mine :B. I am consistently over 10 MPG usually just short of 11 MPG.
I always tease that my jeep made it from CA to TX on the same tank of gas.
