Interior wall replacement, ideas?

Here is another thought that I think I would consider.

Buy a can of expanding foam like is used to seal around doors, windows etc. Get the one that doesn't expand a whole lot. It has a straw through which the product flows.

Drill some small (1/4 inch) holes in the part of the panel that needs support, insert the straw and fire a little of the foam in the hole. Once it expands, it should adhere to the panel and what ever is behind it thus adding support. I don't think it should hurt wiring since it would just encapsulate it. Touch up the entry hole and call it a day.

Might be a quick, four dollar solution to the problem.

Eh, I think i'm going to keep the existing wall for now... going to cut some blocks of wood to secure the mid-bottom better. I got a good look behind it and all the wiring causes it to pooch out. There is a cross-member above mid-high, then nothing below that.. take that wire pressure add 10 years and someone screwing a shelf to the already weak wall and you get trouble :-)

I have the same panel in my 2007 Gulfstream Yellow stone Cruzer, but not loose. Seems to be standard in alot of Class C motorhomes.

Piece of cake. Mark all the wires beforehand. I like to take a high resolution photo of all the wires and their locations since not all vehicles match their wiring diagrams. Otherwise, rip the wall out and staple in a new one.

I'm still not sure why it is not properly attached. Should be some structure behind it to staple it back to. Also, the corners can be repaired either with matching seam tape or black aluminum corner channel screwed in.

I have used the tongue and groove stuff from Lowes or HD. It's thin and being pine of cedar is very lightweight too. Stain it before you put it up.

Be careful, that wall looks like it may be full of a lot of wires going to that panel. Also be careful if the fridge is attached to it somehow.

The wiring was only an added bonus.. I already have it pulled through. The wall not only thin + loose but chewed up on the edges from wear. Sunseeker in all their wisdom only attach the big 1/16" flexable wall along a thin 1/4" strip at the edges and at the control panel in the middle. Right now there is an inch or so of wobble at the panel's middle. So even if I wanted to repair what I have I think I'd end up pulling the wall down to add something behind it to prevent it from flexing so much. The previous owners screwed a wood shelf to the panel which over time is what resulted in it getting so bad :-/
