Issues with gages and cruise control

I have a 2007 Winnebago Voyage 35L W22 Workhorse with 46000 miles. Often the leveling Jack’s will give a warning and a quick “All up” fixes it. On a recent trip when I did this I noticed the gages would drop to zero and come back up. Later, it caused a feeling like I had hit a small bump in the road and the cruise would cut off. I then could reset it as usual. Thoughts would be low electric power or excess power draw by Jack’s. I checked the battery (new) at 12.6 volts after a trip. I got 13.4 volts with motor at idle. Taking it to my RV guy next week. If anyone has had any issues like this I would like to suggest where he might look first. Thanks in advance.
  • Sounds like a loose connection.
I would start by checking around the battery disconnect and the batteries.

I"m fond of saying many RVers have a few screws loose (IN this case a ground screw on a wiring harness).

The jacks down alarm is common on a couple brands of hydraulic jacks which use a float switch in the fluid tank to tell if the jacks are up (The theory is if the tank's full the jacks are up.. Which is generally true. but if the tank is NOT full.. the jacks may still be full up due to fluid loss via other paths some of which are NOT an indication of tribbles)

Adding a cup of tranny fluid of the proper type fixe it.

When you hit the JACKS UP button there is a "Heck" of a very brief load placed on the electrical system as 4 magnets all kick in at once. this can fake out the gauges as well.
  • Anybody know where the “ground bar” on the Voyage 35L is located? Been cleaning terminals etc. but not sure where to find main ground bar to clean. ALSO the starting battery has a small
black wire with a yellow connector on both positive and negative terminals, but not connected to anything. Any ideas. Again thanks in advance.
