I get terrible mpg. 9 mpg. Others I meet say they get 12 to14. A. I am a terrible driver B. something is wrong C they are fibbing :) I love it but it is indeed thirsty

A MH wouldn't get good mileage if it fell out of a tree. If you don't like the numbers you're getting, stop doing the math. As an alternative, drive to the top of Pike's Peak and do the calculation on the downhill drive only. But you have to factor in the $12/person fee to do the round trip.
