Itasca Sundancer 2003

NADA for RV's is not the greatest. There are not enough sales to establish a meaningful database.
You have been around here for a while are you familiar with checking out RV's before purchase?

We have a 2005 Sundancer 31C that we bought used and we have had excellent service from her. It came with stuff we didn't even know we wanted like levelers, satellite, ice maker etc. No problems at all until this year when the windshield wipers quit. Lots of storage with large doors which makes it very easy to overload. Watch the weight and get it weighed yearly. Drives nicely as long tire pressures are where they belong. You didn't say what version it is but we carry 80 lbs. in all tires and 65 lbs. in the air bags all the time. We got a 5 star tuner for the V-10 and it improved our gas mileage and climbing/shifting performance considerably. Overall I would buy her again without hesitation. We love our Sundancer.

I have to go back and re-read and make a list before we go. I still am very worried, as this is our first motorhome, and there are so many things to consider. Plus our last 2 trailers were brand new, so that's a bit different. My other concern is where to take it to have a mechanic go over it. Our first look is just to see if this is what we want. It's supposed to rain when we are hoping to go look at it, which is good to check for leaks, but not to good to look at the roof.

This is good to know. Thank you!! The one we want to look at is a 30V. This is a silly question, but I was able to pull up a brochure on the years Sundancer. IT looks like the 2003 31C has the shower in the "hallway" like the 30V does. I see there is a folding door between the bedroom and shower, But is there anything that blocks off the shower from the kitchen and forward? That is the only thing I am not too crazy about.

Does the price seem reasonable, depending of course on condition?

This is great. Definitely many Class A places, Class C is few and far between. Handy to have!

In 2003-2006/7 the Minnie Winnie & its twin the Itasca Sundancer were the top of the Winnebago Class C Motor Homes. If you find a good condition Sundancer you will enjoy it.

Some info on Winnebago 2000 - 2010 Class C Motor Homes On Ford and Chevy Chassis. In regards to Winnebago and its twin Itasca you can go to www.winnebagoind.com click on Resources and then Manuals and Diagram and download a Pdf brochure and spec sheets for the models and year you are checking out and see what is standard and what options are available.
A little background on the models: W stands for Winnebago and I stands for Itasca. Both have class C model numbers 200, 300 and 400. 400 was used with the top of the line class C the W Minnie Winnie and I Sundancer. The Minnie Winnie’s last year was 2006 and the Sundancers last year was 2007. These 400 models were the top of line in Class C’s, For example a Minnie Winnie 30V full model number is WF430V and the I Sundancer 30V is IF430V.

The next level down is the W Minnie and the I Spirit. These are model 300. W Minnie is not a Winnie Minnie, but some people call their Minnie a Minnie Winnie. The Minnie label changed to Outlook in 2006 and offered many of the features and options of the Minnie Winnie/Sundancer, W Outlook and I Spirit were offered through 2010. As an example the Minnie/Outlook 29B full model # is WF329B and the I Spirit 29B is IF329B.

The next level down. In 2007 W & I brought out the new entry level Class C the W Access and I Impluse both model 200’s. For example the Access 31C is WF231C, and Impluse 31C is IF231C.

Winnebago Chalet brand is built for the rental companies, not sure if they follow the same 200, 300, 400 numbering system. They are about the same as their other Class C’s except more basic and no carpet.

2011 Info the Outlook and Spirit are gone, replaced by W Access Premier, I Impluse Silver.

don’t count on a RV salesperson to know anything about the RV’s they sell. All they know is that they have the perfect RV for you on the lot and you can own it today. Do your research prior to shopping.

I think its reasonable if in good shape. We saw several on rvtrader.com that were in the same price range. On our coach the bathroom door has a spring built into the hinge that will hold the bathroom door open and it will sit against the opposite wall so it becomes the hallway door. Simple but works good.
