just purchased Class C with problems trading for a Class A

So in a nutshell...10 items which need repair. Some are of major concern.. Very disappointed in Forest River and Camping World in Manassas, Virginia. We told them we do not want the Class C anymore. We believe this is a lemon! We talked about it and decided to just trade it in for a Class A Forest River Georgetown XL. Do you think it will be any better or all of them the same. We don't mind a problem or two but ours is ridiculous ...
  • Check with your STATE lemon laws. Some states include RV's and some do not. If your state does, go that route to get things taken care of or have the vehicle returned. Was it a new vehicle or used when you purchased it?
  • Ok, let me get this right, because right now I'm shaking my head. You went to Camping World and bought a new FR class C. You had some problems that CW needed to fix, but they're backed up because all new rigs are having problems. So, instead of waiting for CW to get you, your logic is that trading it in with CW on a different rig will solve all your issues. Do I have it right?

Right now, I'm thinking this is a troll...
  • Only ten things wrong with a new RV?
You got one of the good ones.
  • Two words come to mind. "Unrealistic expectations".

Manufacturers are pushing units out the door in record numbers.
Quality control suffers across the board.
  • If y'all click on the OP's name it will take you to other posts and the problems they are encountering. They have postings in the Class C section.
  • spend a day or two on the lot testing in your planned purchase before you pay for it, don't finalize payment until all things are working and get a commit to fix any new problems immediately.....in writing. maybe that will help
  • I traded for a new class c Winnebago in 2014, thinking that I was buying a well made coach. I had several issues from day one. Not much help from Winnebago or dealer. I finally paid for repairs myself. Never again will I buy Winnebago.
  • I must be lucky. I owned a Thor motorhome and now have a FR DP. Both were reliable and no major problems. It is a **** shoot. I've talked to Newmar owners and Tiffin owners and some have had significant problems. A Tiffin owner told me that his MH has more millage going up and down on the lift than horizontal on the highway, My good friend is on his third Newmar and has been stranded several times for more than a week. All three were problems. He keeps buying them because his friends have them and Newmar is very good at keeping their owners. I know Tiffin and Newmar have their acolytes who are quick to tout their brands or maybe they are employees paid to respond positively to anyone asking questions of which to buy. Not a bad move by the way if that's what they do.
Bottom line get the floor plan you like in a budget you can afford and pray a lot. Just MHO.
