- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIThe biggest difference is that the 2 Million dollar is that the chassis is likely built by Prevost and designed to last nearly forever. The "plastic" coaches can be as nice or nicer inside depending upon who built it, but take a look at a 4 slide Prevost and compare those slides to any other manufacturer.

What could make a $2 million motorcoach worth a $1 million more than a $1 million motorcoach?
Worth? Or cost?
As mentioned above, the difference, other than ~$30k, between a ‘beer can’ pickup and the ‘every option in the book’ pickup is bells & whistles ........ and a LOT of profit.
Look at the cost of a bare shell of a brand new Prevost coach and then you’ll see what the markup is on a $2MM coach. - Sooner_SchoonerExplorer

If you're interested in buying one you should visit the different factories to see how they are built.
Or if you're like most of us here and can't even think of affording a $2MM coach, look at a 10-20-30 year old coach from Newell, Prevost, Bluebird, or Foretravel and see how they have held up compared to other coaches. These have built their own chassis for one thing and use high end fittings.
I can see things like a $500 couch vs a $1000 couch, or $5000 worth of entertainment electronics vs $10,000 entertainment system,.. but $1 million more of anything in a 45' coach is hard to fathom. Just thought it might be interesting to hear different opinions. - wa8yxmExplorer IIIMany little things.
FOr example I noticed on one very high end Motor home it had TWO water pumps. Said the Musician who was setting it up "With both of 'em on it'll knock your hat off in the shower"
IT also had auto-fill for the fresh water tank, Just push a button to start it shouts off..
There is much more but frankly that's the only part of the RIG I looked at teh water control board. (it was after dark and he was hooking up and I was lighting the landscape.. I have lots of light) - folivierExplorerIf you're interested in buying one you should visit the different factories to see how they are built.

Assuming same chassis, same 3ngine, same builder, how much more can the different systems really cost???
With that said, to a much smaller degree I get part of it. I drive an F150 and an F250. Both are Lariats. In 2016 I bought my Super Duty diesel; I ordered a Crew Cab long box with the Lariat Ultimate package. A few months later I was in the market for an F150. I drive a very nicely equipped XLT that did everything it needed to do, but...
at the end of the test drive I handed the keys back to my salesgirl and said I just couldn't do it, I wanted another Lariat.
Considering a $30,000 Truck functionally will do everything a $60,000 truck does why do they sell so many $60k trucks? - Boxer_LoversExplorerNothing to do with anything other than some guy with more money than brains can brag he spent 2 mil on a depreciating asset.
- kerrlakeRooExplorerThe words "Taxpayer funded" written across the back.
