- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIDirecTV did not make any changes but since DirecTV uses satellites in the same 110 and 119 orbital slots, the Dish changes have effected some of the domes set to find DirecTV. In most cases, however, most domes Winegard, King Dome and KHV will still work at find the 101 satellite which is all that's necessary.
- chuckbearExplorerBoth Dish and DirecTV have made changes to their satellites and the KingDome will no longer lock on for either provider. KingDome decided to not make a serviceable upgrade to make the units work and instead want you to buy a complete new unit. We threw ours in the dumpster and replaced it with a Winegard and are very happy with our choice. Chuck
- RoadpilotExplorerI had an '06 that stopped working due to changes in Directv's system. New dish works great.
- claywayExplorerWhat year is your dish, have you called King Dome, my 2009 model was obsolete, they did offer a discount on a new unit
- RandyandMarlaExplorerHad the same problem this last summer. Changed the cabling and after multiple calls to Dish, we purchased a new King Dome. Fixed the problem. Couldn't find anyone who would work on the Satellite.
- bullydogs1ExplorerIf it is set for DISH, they changed their protocols about 2 years ago and the satellites are not findable using the old technology...I'd set it for DIRECT and hopefully it can find 101....
- rgatijnet1Explorer IIIHas it ever worked for you?
What Satellite receiver box are you using?
Is the coax cable hooked up at the dome and at the receiver?
Have you gone through the entire set-up procedure and chosen single LNB 18" round dish(if I remember right)?
