stumped.....

Just a thought....do you have catalytic converters on your coach? That's exactly how a car I had acted when the converters began to come apart. They will let enough exhaust thru until they get really hot and expand, stopping the exhaust flow, then it bucks and crys. Like I said, just a thought.

The TFI ign modual I replaced did not help much...after a test run up some small 3rd gear hills of 30 miles or so..as I was coming back to camp at slightly above idle it started jumping and bucking. I cannot associate it with any RPM, temp,or any thing like that.
All campers here are going to be thrown out in the AM....and now find out even State parks as well as Federal will close because state parks are partially funded by fed money.
Called a shop today to have diagnostic check, but when they found out it was OBD 1 said OBD 1 scanners don't show much so they will have to do it the old fashioned way...code for we will replace everything and hope we get it......hell that's what I can do....
still stumped.....its like a dead short in the IGN system

I have not tried it yet= it is a ign modual that controls your spark and timing.....now we have another problem....as we are in a COE fed campground and if govt. shuts down we have to move out..hell of a vacation..

You probably already know this, but COE's have a two week limit, you can apply for an extension but you need to do it a few days prior to the two weeks being up. Also you can not have a RV that is broken in a COE. You can also not work on a RV if it is broken.

I made the mistake of telling a COE park host that I had an intermittent no start condition going on with the MH when I was trying to start it to dump. Park host then told me the above.

BTW, the no start was the starter relay on the frame rail. Another Ford part that likes to go out often.
