The toilet used to feel a little soft when I sat down on it. It also used to smell. After the fix, the smell went away. I did this in a state park campground while traveling.

Please don't do that unless you really just can't get at the bad wood or you don't plan on keeping the coach for long. But then again, you didn't mention soft wood under the toilet so hopefully you caught it before that point.
