leak driving me nuts

OK I been fight a leak for years now re-placed a lot of wood and did alot of fixing. I had it checked for leaks and only found 2 small spots by the front cap and I took care of those. it seem like after some heavy rains everything looks good then out of nowhere I look and find water everywhere. I just want to the rv and once again water on the counter top and on my wood floor. Im Bummbed out!! if it sits in front of my house It never seems to leak but when I take it to storage that's when it always leak. So the only thing I do different is open the vents but they are cover with the rein proof covers? when at home I run the a/c. ??? CAN IT STILL BE COMING FROM THE VENT SOMEHOW?
  • It sounds like you've hit a wall and need professional help. I'd recommend that you contact a Sealtech leak testing facility in your home state (Florida?) They pump air into the rig, and spray a bubble solution on all exterior access points to pinpoint leaks. Here's a link to one I found in Florida that may or may not be close to you.

  • I've never had the rain proof covers but I'm guessing if the vent is open and the rain and wind is blowing just right rain could come in.

Another area to consider is windows. A leak at the top of the window frame allowed the water to flow down around the frame to the bottom of the window. The wall and carpet beneath the window would get wet when the rain was blowing just right.

There are leak tests using pressure and smoke which will help track the leak to the outside of the RV.
