I did find 5k lb powered tongue jacks today, no one thinks they will work?
Deano56,
Tongue jack? Now, please correct me if I'm wrong here but, isn't a tongue jack a bit high to "tuck" under that rig, anywhere? I mean, aren't you talking about the ones that are supposed to go on the front of trailers?
Trying to do something that really requires the right tools/equipment/application with something that's not necessarily designed for your purpose, may, or may not result in a casualty. I've kind of been in that situation before where we purchased a 27' rig with no leveling system on it.
I opted for the heaviest duty scissors jacks I could find at the time, (about 25 years ago) and welded them to the frame, close to the front on each side, and close to the rear on each side. Now, mind you, those don't have near the capacity of a hydraulic setup but, they sure did the trick in lifting at least some and, stabilizing the coach. And, with todays powerful battery operated impact guns, it's a matter of one minute and, your level, (within reason, depending on conditions when parking) and stabilized. Good luck.
P.S. Plus those scissors jacks are seriously cheaper than a tongue jack, if it's what I think it is.
