Leveling with dual wheels

I am thinking about buying a B+ with dual wheels. We have always traveled in a PW Excel and leveled it up easily with plastic blocks. Our preference is to stay at state parks or public campgrounds where we frequently have to use the blocks in a gravel site. I see this as being a real pain with duals. What do people use to level a small B+ with dual wheels?

I will appreciate any feedback.

  • We use the "lego" blocks under both dually wheels. Never have needed more than one set. Lucky in site choice I guess. One good thing about a B is it is one can jockey it around in the site to get a good level spot to minimize block usage. Once I have changed sites when I saw how unlevel it was. Make sure you block both wheels and have the footprint fully on the blocks.
  • I have a dually truck with a TC. I always put my blocks, levelers, etc. under both tires.
  • You will need more sets of levelers when you have dual wheels. Or more wood. We use both. We have 3 sets of levelers. We only had one set with the TT before. And we have had to use all three sets before at one time. If I need more than that, then I already need a new site.
  • I have HWH leveling jacks . I carry a set of orange Linx blocks. Used mostly to level pick nik table.

X3. I try to use enough levelers so that the tire is resting on a surface of two rather than just one on top but that may not be necessary. I sometimes have to use two bags of Lynx levelers to do the job.
  • X2 on the Lynx blocks under both dual tires. Whenever possible, I park with the front end on the low side to reduce the number of blocks needed to get level.
